Top Ten Tuesday

My Recent Reads

Hello there! Welcome to this week’s Top Ten TuesdayTop Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

This week’s prompt is about my ten most recent reads. If you have been following me for awhile now, you might be aware of my slow decent to a reading slump. I did finish reading a book recently (although that was a reread). So the books in this post will be listed from recent to well, till the tenth book. Let’s begin!

Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer

I just recently finished rereading this book. I have to say that I surprisingly like this book. It has more events than the previous books that I found really interesting.

Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor

Oh, this is probably my favorite book at the moment. I enjoyed following Lazlo and Sarai’s story. This is a really slow paced book but I think it is still worth the read. I am now looking forward to getting my hands on a copy of the second book.

In Five Years by Rebecca Serle

I honestly can’t remember if I liked this book or not. I do know that I was first attracted to read this book because of the whole time thing.

Love & Luck by Jenna Evans Welch

Ugh, I can feel my annoyance to this book coming back. I really like Love & Gelato but sadly, this one ain’t it. It did manage to make me curious about Ireland though.

Get a Life, Chloe Brown by Talia Hibbert

Oh god, this book. The only memorable thing for me in this book is the two protagonist’s horniness. That and how annoyed I was that the issue they had in the end sounds childish.

In a Holidaze by Christina Lauren

This is one of those books that meddle with time. I had high expectations but I was a bit let down. Still, this one is an entertaining read.

Well Played by Jen DeLuca

This is one of those series wherein I really liked the first book but this second one, didn’t quite hit the mark. I enjoyed the cameo of the protagonist from the first book though! And at least the characters here is a bit likeable in comparison to that protagonist in Love & Luck.

A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness

This is probably one of the books that made me sad but it was a welcome kind of sadness. I think if I reread this book now, and because of the recent death in our family, this will surely make me cry. Or at least more depressed than I already am.

What Lies Between Us by John Marrs

I remember liking how fucked up the mother and daughter dynamics in this book is. I didn’t like the ending that much though. Also, I am still looking for books by Marrs, so please recommend some!

Locke & Key, Vol. 1: Welcome to Lovecraft by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodríguez

I haven’t finished reading this series. I’m having some issues with my Amazon comiXology app. So far, I am enjoying this one. I liked both the story and the art style.

There you go!

Which one of this books have you read already?

Time to go back to work. Keep safe guys!
