If you’ve been reading my monthly favorites as of late, you might notice that I’ve been watching more stuff about unsolved mysteries. Thanks to Bailey Sairan and Mr. Ballen on YouTube for this growing fascination. Because of my frequent exposure to these kinds of stories, I rarely get concerned, rattled, or scared. But, there are still a couple of stories that won’t leave my mind, and today, I will share with you those stories.
Note that, these stories might leave me speechless but won’t do anything to you.
Before we start, welcome to this week’s Top Ten Tuesday. Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
This week is a Halloween Freebie. So, let’s go!
Tokaimura Nuclear Accident
Imagine being kept alive against your will. That is what happened to Hisashi Ouchi, an employee at the Tokaimura nuclear plant. He is one of the three employees who was heavily impacted by the accident that happened on September 30, 1999. All three were exposed to deadly amounts of radiation. specifically Ouchi due to his proximity to the reaction. When exposed to radiation,1 Sv (Sievert) causes acute radiation sickness, and a dose of 10 Sv is fatal. Ouchi received 17 Sv of radiation. The doctors at the University of Tokyo Hospital kept him alive for 83 days, prolonging his suffering.
There is a disturbing photo in the article. So, just be ready for it.
America Sings: The Death of Deborah Gail Stone
Imagine that you are in a theme park, enjoying an attraction while someone is being crushed to death in your vicinity, without you fully knowing it. That is what happened to Deborah Gail Stone, a hostess, who was accidentally crushed between a rotating wall and a stationary wall at the attraction American Sings at Disneyland which happened back on July 8, 1974. Apparently, an audience heard Stone’s screams but the audience thought that it was just part of the show.
You can know more about it here. The link below was already set to the timestamp about Stone’s story:
Kyle Plush Case
In the past years, I kept coming across these cool and oftentimes, creepy 911 related stories. I think this was the first time I read something that made me mad at what 911 did. This happened on April 10, 2018, when 16 years old Kyle Plush was going to get his tennis gear when he was pinned by the third-row seat of his 2004 minivan. Plush managed to ask Siri to call 911 twice but helped never arrived. Plush died of asphyxia.

Hour of Killing
This case is about a “prophet” named Frank Alexander, who killed his mother and sisters because “the lust of the women have to be punished”. This is coming from a guy who insisted he has sex with his mother and sisters so that he can remain “pure”.This case is making me mad again, so here is a link to the article via PressReader: Murdered at hands of Prophet
Mr. Ballen also made a video about this, so here is the link:
This involves a suicide pact involving 11 members of the Bhatia family that happened on July 1, 2018. The bodies of the 11 family members were discovered at their family home in Burari, Delhi, India. Ten of the family members were found hanged while one (the grandmother) was found lying on the floor and showed signs of strangulation. A diary was found in the house, detailing what the family did to themselves and the reason behind it.

I just found out that there is a Netflix documentary about this titled House of Secrets: The Burari Deaths.
The Murder of Samantha Koenig
This is one of those things I just happened to see on Reddit. I saw a black and white photo of Koenig’s ransom photo or her “proof of life” photo. At first, I didn’t really give it much thought, up until I saw this case on one of MrBallen’s videos detailing how that said photo was created. It still makes me feel uneasy since I was staring hard at Koenig’s face when I first saw it because I thought she looked weird.
Koenig was abducted by the American serial killer Israel Keyes. Keyes chained Koenig in his shed and promised her that he will let her go, as soon as her father paid the ransom money. Sadly, it was just a lie and Keyes just wanted to see Koenig lower her guard. He then chained Koenig tighter, proceeded to assault her then killed her. That “proof of life” photo was taken when Koenig was already dead for a couple of days ( I’m not sure how long exactly). Keyes sewed her eyes so that they will remain open then put some makeup on her face. He then proceeded to take a photo of her while he is holding up a newspaper dated a few days ago.

Piggy Palace Massacre
This is something I just watched recently on MrBallen’s YoutTube channel. This is about Robert Pickton, a Canadian serial killer who killed 49 women, mostly prostitues. According to a witness on tape, Pickton claimed that he brought his victims to the farm, handcuffed and raped them. Afterward, he will kill the victims by strangling them. It was also said that Pickton would grind the remains of his victims and feed them to his pigs.

That is it! I still have a couple of stories in mind but I don’t want this blog post to be long.
If you have a Top Ten Tuesday post, especially this Halloween Freebie, let me know! I would love to read it.
Thank you so much for reading. Keep safe and I’ll talk to you again this week!
