Welcome back to my blog! I was nominated by Lili of Lili’s Blissful Pages and Heather Tasker for the Sunshine Blogger Award. Thank you for nominating me Lili and Heather, I’m sorry for the late response!
Before I begin, I guess you want to know what the Sunshine Blogger Award is. According to Lili’s post, The Sunshine Blogger Award is given to those who are creative, positive, and inspiring, while spreading sunshine to the blogging community. How does it work?
• Thank the blogger(s) who nominated you in a blog post and link back to their blog.
• Answer the 11 questions sent by the person who nominated you.
• Nominate 11 new blogs to receive the award and write them 11 new questions.
• List the rules and display the Sunshine Blogger Award logo in your post and/or on your blog.
Since Lili and Heather have two different sets of questions, I decided to answer them both on this post. So this will be a long one my friend. I suggest you grab something to drink or eat, a cuddly pet (or human) then hit the lights, sit back and enjoy!
Ok now moving on to Lili’s questions:
1. What do you love most about blogging?
Being able to share my thoughts about a book to people that will actually care. I also enjoy reading and interacting to people about different topics.
2. What’s your story behind your blog name?
The cat with a book was inspired by my other lovely cat and biological mother of my son Heihei. She loves to cuddle with me every time I read. I actually miss her. She lives with my Grandma.
3. What’s one of your favorite quotes?
Think happy thoughts. I believe it was from Peter Pan.
4. Which book/series makes you happy?
I enjoy reading Stainless Longganisa by Bob Ong, a Filipino author. The book is about the struggles he faced whilst writing a book. Very funny and truly insightful.
5. What distracts you most from reading?
Heihei. That cat loves disturbing me whether I’m working, reading, cleaning, eating, po…you get the point.
6. What five things are you grateful for?
• I am grateful for my simple life
• My loving boyfriend
• My understanding Uncle Bong (Father figure)
• Good set of friends
• And finding a platform and a group of people that actually values each other’s opinion. (That is you guys!)
7. Which author would you ask to write your biography?
The Filipino author Bob Ong. I would love him to incorporate his wit into my biography.
8. What is your favorite sound?
Rain drops and waves.
9. Which (if any) book series have you DNF’d?
A lot of you guys might react to this, but The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare. But no need to worry, I’ll try reading TID before jumping back to TMI.
10. Are there any movie adaptations you prefer more than the book?
The Notebook. I really like the movie but I don’t quite like the book.
11. If your life, as it is up to this point, was made into a film what song would be playing during the end credits?
Today by The Smashing Pumpkins.. Or the version by Willamette Stone is fine with me.
Now for Heather’s set of questions:
1. What is your current obsession? A book/tv series/game you’re really into, a hobby, project?
I am currently in love with reviewing books. As for the games, I like Sims Freeplay but I am currently waiting for the Sims Mobile.
2. What is do you think your best quality is?
I am not sure. Sorry.
3. If you could speak with anyone who’s ever existed, who would you choose?
My Grandpa. I would love to talk to him again, just one last chance.
4. Dogs or cats? Which do you like most and what do you have at home? (Feel fee to include pictures) I think this one is obvious but let me introduce you guys to Sir Heihei of House Perez, First of his name, Book and Workout Mat Destroyer and Tea bag Thief.
5. What is your “day job”(Or how do you spend your day otherwise)
I spend my day studying and reading.
6. What almost always works to improve your mood?
A good cup of coffee and an episode or two of Spongebob.
7. If money was not option, how would you spend your time?
Maybe gardening.
8. What is your favorite book?
This is a tough one. I can’t choose!!!
9. Where do you fall in your family? Oldest, middle, baby, only child? Do you think that influences your role in the family?
I am an only child and I think that fact influenced me to be a bit on the aggressive side since my grandma tends to assign me on decision making tasks ever since I started High School.
10. What is the best piece of advice you have to share with the world?
Be yourself, as long as you’re not doing anyone any harm, just do you.
11. If you could time travel but could change absolutely nothing would you do it?
Yes, I’ll still do it.
